Job Title: Senior Concrete Foreman

Hire Resolves client is seeking a Senior Concrete Foreman to manage concrete works across complex building and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site concrete activities including shuttering, steel fixing, pouring, and finishing — ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and production.

 Responsibilities:

• Supervise concrete crews (shutter hands, steel fixers, and finishers) on daily tasks.
• Interpret construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.
• Coordinate concrete pours, including formwork inspections and slump checks.
• Enforce site safety protocols according to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHS Act).
• Track and report on progress, resource usage, and potential delays.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
• Ensure proper curing of concrete structures to avoid cracking and structural defects.
• Manage material requirements and daily concrete volumes.
• Conduct toolbox talks and maintain discipline on-site.
• Complete site documentation, including pour reports, diaries, and incident logs.

 Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Trade Certification in Carpentry, Concrete, or Civil Construction (e.g. NQF Level 4 or higher).
•  Minimum 5 years’ experience in concrete construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/foreman role.
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural engineering drawings.
• Strong people management and site coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in rural or remote project locations if required.
