Overview:
A leading retail organisation is seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to support a Finance Systems project, specifically within the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) domain. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the implementation or enhancement of OneStream (or a similar platform such as SAP BPC or Workday Adaptive Planning), working closely with finance, IT, and vendor teams to ensure successful delivery.
This is an on-site role based in Cape Town and ideal for a project manager with solid experience managing finance system implementations or upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage the end-to-end project delivery for an FP&A platform (preferably OneStream) within a retail finance environment.
– Coordinate project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication across business and technical teams.
– Work closely with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the system aligns with financial planning, forecasting, and reporting needs.
– Liaise with software vendors, external consultants, and IT teams to ensure successful implementation and integration.
– Drive project governance and ensure alignment to best practices, budget, and timelines.
– Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to keep the project on track.
– Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), data migration activities, and change management initiatives.
Requirements:
– 3-6 years of project management experience, ideally within finance systems or FP&A projects.
– Hands-on experience managing projects involving OneStream, SAP BPC, or Workday Adaptive Planning.
– Strong understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
– Experience working in a retail or fast-paced business environment is highly advantageous.
– Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and bridge the gap between business and technology teams.
– Solid project planning, risk management, and delivery tracking skills.
