RPO’s client is actively seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Epping. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated engineering professional to apply their technical knowledge, evaluate, select, and apply advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of engineering assignments. Responsibilities:

  • Detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal design, weldments & large-scale assemblies.

  • Generate detailed drawings and BOM’s.

  • Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions.

  • Extensive experience with industrial machinery and structural design.

  • Ensuring all inspection and preventative maintenance tasks are documented and scheduled on the group CMMS.

  • Liaise with other departments about failures and potential solutions.

  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance.

  • Drive continuous improvement.

  • Undertake quality assurance on mechanical work executed.

  • Compile reports on failures and tasks.

Requirements:

  • BSc/B.Eng./B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

  • At least 10- years’ experience in the maintenance or production environment.

  • Competency in computer-aided engineering design and drawing.

  • Hands-on working experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Experience in hydraulic system design and maintenance advantageous.

  • Experience in electrical control systems advantageous.

  • Proven project management experience.

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Must be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).

  • Must have Strong proven administrative skills.

  • Experience working with an Computerized Maintenance Management System.

  • Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

  • Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English).

  • Must be prepared to work overtime when required.

  • Attention to detail and an analytical approach to troubleshooting.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and perform effectively in a pressurized environment.

  • Excellent team player – able to balance team and individual responsibilities.

  • Ability to maintain professional working relations with diverse personalities.

  • Hard-working and self-motivated.

  • Time and priority management.

  • Excellent communication skills on all levels.
