Senior Civil Engineer – (Urban Infrastructure) CT
Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable and well-established multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm known for its involvement in large-scale public infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Urban Infrastructure department in Cape Town.
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Contract Engineer / Employer’s Agent with strong capabilities in contract administration, tender documentation, and construction cost estimation. A background in urban road and municipal infrastructure design, project management, and quality assurance is essential.
Responsibilities

Act as Contract Engineer / Employer’s Agent on major urban infrastructure projects.

Administer construction contracts, including FIDIC and GCC-based agreements.

Prepare tender documentation and construction cost estimates.

Manage all aspects of project lifecycle including design, procurement, and delivery.

Oversee quality management systems on-site and in documentation.

Collaborate with public sector clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Mentor junior engineers and support professional development initiatives.
Requirements

B.Eng or B.Sc in Civil Engineering (minimum); M.Eng or M.Sc preferred.

Professionally registered as PrEng with ECSA.

Minimum 10 years’ post-registration experience in relevant fields.

Expertise in urban roads, stormwater, sewer, and water reticulation systems.

Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Civilsoft Bill.

Strong contract administration and reporting skills.
