Job Description:
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our client’s team in Bryanston. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing and managing insurance claims in a timely and efficient manner. The Claims Handler will work closely with clients, insurance companies, and adjusters to ensure that claims are resolved accurately and promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
– Review and assess insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and settlement options
– Work closely with clients to gather necessary information and documentation to support claims
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims and communication with relevant parties
– Negotiate with insurance companies, adjusters, and other stakeholders to achieve fair and timely claim settlements
– Provide exceptional customer service and address any questions or concerns related to claims
– Stay current on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with all insurance laws and guidelines
– Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to improve processes and enhance overall claims handling procedures
Qualifications:
– Relevant NQF 5 in insurance or finance
– Completed RE5 Exam level 1
– 3+ years of experience in insurance claims processing or a similar role
– Minimum of 5 years experience working in short-term insurance
– Strong understanding of insurance policy terms and coverage options
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software
– Certification in claims handling or related field is a plus
