Architect/Architectural Technologist – CPT

Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable and multidisciplinary architectural firm with a strong track record in public sector developments and urban renewal projects, is currently seeking a skilled Architect or Architectural Technologist to join their team based in the Cape Town area.

The ideal candidate is a driven professional with strong project management capabilities and a sound understanding of the architectural process from inception to close-out. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of government and large-scale infrastructure projects across all stages of development.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural projects from Stage 1 to Stage 6, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget

• Act as Principal Agent on projects when required

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors

• Oversee design development, construction documentation, and contract administration

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

• Provide leadership in quality assurance and client liaison

Requirements

• Professionally registered with SACAP (preferred)

• Qualification in Architecture or Architectural Technology

• Residing in Cape Town or willing to relocate

• Minimum of 3–5 years project management experience in the architectural field

• Principal Agent experience is advantageous

• Experience with government or public sector projects is beneficial

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Stages 4 to 6 of the architectural process

• Proficiency in relevant software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
