KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Superintendent I, Finance 

The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It’s a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. As the successful candidate is the custodian of compliant financial systems and frameworks and leads a team of specialists who collectively monitor financial indicators and trends in the operation. The scope of the role includes Accounts Payable, Accounting, Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Assets and Taxation. 

You will have the following:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Finance 
• Fluency in French and English 
• 8-10 years in Finance with 5 years in a senior role gaining broad exposure across Finance in the mining industry. 

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

• IAS and IFRS 
• OHADA 
• International Finance best practices 
• Commercial and supply chain knowledge 

Technical Skills should include:

• Competent in mine financial systems and related legislation
• Advanced Computer literacy for role – MS Office Software 
• ERP supply chain and inventory management systems

• Coordinate the day-to-day financial operations within the company 
• Perform financial analysis and reporting activities 
• Ensure System suitability and integrity 
• Function as a Finance subject matter expert
